About

Isabel Wong is a luxury womenswear label based in London offering seasonal collections, exclusive and bespoke designs. Alongside these collections, the label also has a diffusion line of affordable limited designs. Every piece is made professionally in-house.

Isabel Wong graduated from Edinburgh College of Art with a BA in fashion design. Between studying, she interned for Gareth Pugh as a studio assistant in both London and Paris and worked as an assistant pattern cutter for Giles. She was involved with the Alfa Romeo MiTo Car launch in collaboration with Harris Tweed, showcasing her Harris Tweed Coat Design in April 2009. Her most recent Mackintosh Coat, sponsored by and in collaboration with Mackintosh is currently retailed in the newly opened Mackintosh flagship store, Mayfair, London. Isabel showcased her Spring/Summer 2011 graduate collection at London Graduate Fashion Week 2010, sponsored by River Island, and was nominated for the Innovation Award.

Her designs are defined by simplicity, contemporary and experimental creative cutting often inspired by her curiosity in paradox and enigma – and the ability to translate conceptualism into wearability. She has an eye for detail and is a perfectionist from design to the finished product. Innovation and sustainability is also key within the research and development of her designs as she has a keen fascination in tranforming and manipulating unusual materials into something new and wearable
